CURIOSITY HAS ITS OWN REASON FOR EXISTING

“If you think good design is expensive, you should look at the cost of a bad design” -Ralph Speth

My process revolves around questioning, understanding, and researching the people that products are designed for. This allows me to develop empathy with my target audience and question the problem, the assumptions, and the implications. Then I use a hands-on approach of sketching, prototyping, and testing concepts that truly serve as a useful solution for the end user, while saving money for the business.

EMPATHY IS YOUR SUPERPOWER

Start focusing on people’s emotions and needs and watch your products go from useful to lifechanging

If you want your users to fall in love with your designs, fall in love with your users first -Dana Chisnell

STAY ORGANIZED

As a designer, the job is never truly finished.

Never let yourself fall prey to being unorganized. You never know when you’ll need to make last-minute edits 10 minutes before a meeting. Know where everything is.

INVOLVE EVERYONE

See it from every angle.

The bottom line is if you’re not involving everyone you’re not getting ideas from every angle. Don’t let your clouded bias or stubborn pride keep you from making life-changing experiences.

BE INTENTIONAL

Less is more, MVPs are crucial, and busy screens can be more distracting than productive.

Get in the habit of asking yourself, “does this directly support the solution I am trying to build”
